MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audits and investigations: Lead and take part in investigations when safety concerns, incidents, or accidents happen at work.
  • Inspections: Monitor workplaces to make sure equipment, tools, and processes are safe and not dangerous to workers.
  • Program development: Develop and put into action health and safety plans, including rules, procedures, and training, that help maintain an incident-free workplace.
  • Regulatory enforcement: Make sure workplaces follow safety rules by starting enforcement actions when they break health and safety standards.
  • Training: Teach workers, employers, and others about staying safe at work.
  • Stakeholder communication: Work with managers, workers, and others to make sure they follow safety rules and understand why they are important.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
